There’s no question that imports are hot and have been for quite some time.  Even US legislators have commented on the inability of the Big Three in Detroit to compete against the likes of Honda, Toyota and even Kia.  That said, Honda and Toyota certainly lead the pack in terms of repeat buyers, but which company is the right option for your needs?  Which company should you choose, if you are in the market for a new vehicle?  While the title of Most Popular Import might seem to be up for grabs, there are several reasons that Honda should be your choice.

    1. More Reliable

Certainly, Toyota makes a reliable vehicle; it’s long been one of the hallmarks of the brand.  However, according to consumers who’ve purchased Honda’s, they’re the most reliable vehicles on the road and more Honda owners would repeat their decision than would Toyota owners.  Therefore, Honda can certainly lay claim to the Most Reliable Import title in the industry.

In fact, Honda owners generally tend to remain with the brand, while Toyota owners (and other brands) seem just as likely to purchase indiscriminately.  This is because Hondas just work, day after day, month after month and year after year.  Other manufactures simply cannot claim that.

    2. More Eco Friendly

Toyota has made a name for itself with the Prius, most definitely.  However, while the Prius is an excellent vehicle, Honda offers more vehicles with better fuel mileage and lower emissions than Toyota’s well-known hybrid.  The Accord hybrid, the Civic hybrid, the Insight and quite a few other models can all give consumers with an eco friendly turn of mind what they demand, while Toyota cannot quite match this.

Honda’s ongoing commitment to the environment makes this company one of the most popular choices with consumers who want to be responsible stewards of the environment.  This doesn’t mean “tree huggers” form the core of the company’s business, though. Rather, ordinary, everyday people who want to do their part for the planet make up that segment.

    3. More Style

If you want style, then Toyota might not be the company for you.  While they certainly make a solid vehicle, the style factor has been largely overlooked with their latest offerings.  However, Honda has continued their innovation in style, bringing you some incredible looks .  You will even notice that certain other automakers out there have done their best to copy these styles and, as you know, imitation is the best form of flattery.

Honda brings you a revamped Accord, the award-winning new Civic and the much-touted Insight.  You’ll also find that the CR-V brings tremendous style, while the Element is one of a kind.  The Pilot exudes classic style and the Odyssey is luxurious.  The Fit is fun and spunky, while the Ridgeline brings home a wide range of accolades form industry groups.

As you can see, Honda offers quite a few reasons to choose their brand, and can truly lay claim to the title of Most Popular Import.
